Well, hi there, traveller! The Wasteland is a cultural media blog that aims to record and comment on all forms of digestible entertainment, art and all ways we tell one another stories.
Primarily, it documents the films, music, books, games, TV, art, theatre and other pop culture artefacts I encounter on a daily basis – and tries to comment on them intelligently, linking them to the way we live our lives, think and feel since 2020.
The use of SPOILERS is implied in all posts. If the subject heading is something you haven’t seen and you don’t want to read spoilers about it… then DON’T READ IT!
The Wasteland uses its own ratings system for movies called THE DECINEMAL SYSTEM. It is unique to this website and my other writings on film. For more detail on how it works, look up The Decinemal System page from the Home page. You are welcome to use the system for your own ratings, but please do give me credit for it online, or link it to The Wasteland at the minimum.
Other contributors are encouraged to contact me with similar articles; if it fits, and I like it, I will post it.
